We couldn’t let Chinese New Year come and go without enjoying the celebration. In geography we are currently studying China so going to the local festival made perfect sense. My kids were able to enjoy a Chinese Lion dance, a drum performance, and a martial arts display.
The little girl took it all in and the “scary monsters” made a big impression. She loves China and often comes running when the boys are learning Mandarin. The celebration wasn’t as big as I was expecting, but it was fun and I’m happy we were able to go.
