Ocean Unit Study

1st Grade Read Alouds
The summer before my son started first grade, I hatched a plan. I scoured book lists and my local library to come up with a list of read alouds that would help my son be able to listen to chapter books read aloud.
The Unschooling Life
Unschooling is beneficial. It is important. I do think it helps foster a love for learning that extends through a whole life time. Learning should be fun although there will always be some things we will have to learn about even if we are not interested. Homeschooling provides my children time to have the best of both worlds. It allows my children to receive a structured education with enough time to pursue interests.
Noah’s Ark in Brownies
Back in 2010, we spent some time learning about Noah’s ark. We love projects so to finish off our study of Noah’s ark, we did a project with food! We made a scale model of Noah’s ark out of brownies. It was a rough scale model that involved making four batches of brownies!
