The voting in our muffin baking competition has now finished and we have a winner. In case you missed it, we are enjoying different baking competitions throughout the school year. Each child is judged according to taste and looks. Taste is judged by whomever we have available to taste test at the time the competition is completed. Looks are judged by online votes. Pictures of the final creations can be found here.
The results for the best tasting muffin were:
1st place was the Pretzel and Chocolate Chip Muffins made by my 4th grader.
2nd place was the Banana Coconut Chocolate Chip Muffins made by my 6th grader.
3rd place was the Chocolate Chocolate Muffins Recipe (except my kid decided to put all the chocolate chips in the center of the muffin) made by my Kindergartner.
The votes for the best looking pie were as follows:
1st place with 64 votes – Pretzel and Chocolate Chip Muffins made by my 4th grader
2nd place with 29 votes – Chocolate Surprise Muffins made by my Kindergartner
3rd place with 28 votes – Banana Coconut Chocolate Chip Muffins made by my 6th grader
This was my 4th grader’s first solid win! He has trailed behind all school year and the results now have him tied for second place.
Points are assigned for each category and a total number of points are tallied for the entire school year. At this point here are the standings:
1st place – 6th grader with 27 points
2nd place – Kindergartner with 23 points
tied for 2nd place – 4th grader with 23 points
